Excel Sports’ Seven Sisters Skyline is Ireland’s premier mountain running festival. The races cover a world class route which featured in the World Mountain Running World Cup in 2022.
Dunlewey Donegal is the host of the Seven Sisters Skyline Mountain Running Festival. This two-day event features two spectacular mountain running races, the 55km route of 4000m elevation and the shorter but faster 30km route with 2000m elevation gain. It has a steadily growing international following and the live GPS tracking is watched worldwide, with over 15 countries participating in the 2022 event. The route is the best in Ireland, and on a world class scale for mountain running.
The event race route runs along the top of all the 7peaks (Seven Sisters) in the Derryveagh mountains from Errigal to Muckish. The event is also set in a Gaeltacht area, introducing the visitors to an authentically ancient Irish locality.
