The 1916 Freedom tour is a completely unique tour of Dublin’s past, specially recreated period style trucks which carry up to 27 people serve as the mobile audio visual platform for the tours. The ethos of the tours are entirely non political and focusses on the historical events in the city 100 years ago. Fully uniformed guides and drivers with period equipment complete the picture for those on board. In addition to the historical element, customers also get to see contemporary Dublin in all its glory, the vehicles can operate in all weather as they have open air and closed weather facilities. The guides pride themselves on a comprehensive knowledge of the city and its many stories, humour and information work well together.
