Murrays
Murrays is a neighbourhood bakery and coffee shop serving freshly baked goods daily. It is located a short walk from both Salthill and the city centre. Indoor and outdoor seating, child-friendly, wi-fi, bike stands, car parking, wheelchair-friendly.

Murrays is a friendly neighbourhood coffee shop with a long history. The building was originally built by the Murray family in the 1930s and over the next 60 years it served the community as a grocery shop and post office. There are many Galway people who fondly remember spending their pocket money on sweets and ice cream in Murrays!

The shop closed in the 1990s but the family continued to live above it. In 2016 Doireann, great-grand-daughter of the original Mr.Murray, re-opened the family business as a coffee shop and bakery.

Murrays serves a range of freshly baked treats, all baked onsite every morning. The menu changes daily but with a huge selection from scones and bagels to rich chocolate cakes and fudge there’s sure to be something for everyone. You will also be treated to a choice of loose leaf teas, coffees and the finest hot chocolates.

Celebration cakes for any occasion can also be made to order from the unique menu. Call us today or pop into us to discuss your needs.

Be sure to check out the expanding gift shelf where we stock a range of beautiful Irish designed gift cards and other unique gifts. There is also a lovely selection of second hand cookery books for sale, make sure to have a look next time you’re in, you never know what gems you might come across!
