Cahersiveen Mountain Roots Music Weekend is run by Teacht Thar Sáile Folk Club, a non profit organisation who host this weekend every May Bank Holiday. They aim to promote live Roots Music performance, participation, attract local, national and international visitors to the event along with promoting Cahersiveen's amenities, attractions and other linked local entrepreneurs.

Performers include Bluegrass, Blues, Singer songwriters, Cajun and Traditional music along with open sessions, local markets and workshops.

Acts include: Freddie White, Hank Wedel & friends, Dizzy Blues, Two Time Polka, High Plains Tradition (Colorado), Ger Wolfe, Reverse the Hearse, Strunky, Mick Power, John Nyhan, Fiona Kennedy & Band and local performers.
