Set in the Co. Kerry home of the Grady family, it is Autumn 1923. The Civil War has officially ended. Thousands of anti-treaty supporters remain interned by the Free State government. Forced to protest, many go on hunger strike. Cregan’s unique play provides an historically accurate account of one family’s experiences and the psychological pressures exerted particularly on women whose husbands went on strike.
