Over the weekend of November 20, 21 & 22 the festival will celebrate authors, readers and great writing. Continuing to be a celebration of the best writing in both English and Irish the Dingle Literary Festival due to Covid-19 the festival will now take place online. All author events are free to view. Tickets for the Writers Workshops range from €50 - €80.

The theme of the festival in 2020 home and identity. Taking part in the festival this year will be Gabriel Byrne, Sara Baume, Mark O’Connell, Sarah Moss, Caelainn Hogan, New York Times bestselling author Brit Bennett, Michelle Dunne, Doireann Ní Ghríofa to name a few.

The Dingle Literary Festival aims to celebrate and enhance the cultural and economic life of the Dingle Peninsula, already widely known for its creativity. It strives to be inclusive and accessible festival for people of all ages focused on the literary arts – fiction, poetry and non-fiction in English and Irish – and delivered through author events, workshops and performances.

The festival will also run writers’ workshops. The workshops will be held via Zoom. The workshops will focus on developing your novel, weaving fact into fiction, poetry, flash fiction and how as an independent writer you will get published.

All author events are free to view. Tickets for the Writers Workshops range from €50 - €80.
