North Kerry Heritage Trails enables you to discover and explore some of Ireland's richest heritage, culture and history through a fully guided bus tour, where history comes to life through the fascinating narrative of the guide and historian. The trail encompasses local museums and literary centre, ancient castles, forts, churches, abbeys and monuments to name a few, many of which are off the beaten track and often missed by visitors.
North Kerry Heritage Trails offer full-day and half-day tours, and itineraries can be designed to suit the groups preferences or indeed to accommodate the weather. Refreshments are provided along the way and any admission fees are included.
You will meet your guide and board the bus at 9.30 am and from there take a fully guided journey of North Kerry. Along the way you will be taken back in time and learn about the relics of an ancient people, which have survived across the centuries, and at each destination given a guided tour either by North Kerry Heritage Trails' historian or the centre's own dedicated guide. There will be a stop for tea or coffee and lunch along the way where you can relax, absorb the experience and chat casually with the guide.
North Kerry Heritage Trails also provide specialised and educational tours on request, such as school trips, active retired groups and historical societies. Full board accommodation and transport can be arranged and included in the package if required.
North Kerry Heritage Trails is operated by the Rattoo Heritage Society, located in Ballyduff 12 miles north of Tralee.
