The Rose of Tralee International Festival is an Irish Cultural event of significant international importance. From its ambitious beginnings in 1959, its constant aim and ethos has been to promote and celebrate Tralee and Kerry through our connections with the Irish Diaspora worldwide.

With thirty-two Irish centres and thirty-six international centres, they connect the global Irish Diaspora and celebrate the exceptional young women that these communities send to Kerry every August. The celebrations, events and activities that take place in these Irish communities, and the representatives that they choose, provide an extraordinary global forum for promoting Tralee and Kerry throughout the year.
