On the Foodie Day Trip guests will visit six attractions with the opportunity to sample artisan foods along the way. Meet food and craft producers and taste local food and drinks.
The trip includes demonstrations of butter making in Knockdrinna, a guided tour of the Ballykeefe Distillery, a visit to Goatsbridge Trout Farm, a chocolatier experience at the Truffle Fairy in Thomastown and the Jerpoint Park lost village. Participants will also see the ancient art of glass blowing first hand.
Starting at 10:00 at the Kilkenny Design Centre opposite Kilkenny Castle, this tour takes approximately six hours and is suitable for all ages. Each tour can cater for a minimum of five and a maximum of twelve people.
The Foodie Walking Tour takes you through the narrow streets of the city giving you the opportunity to taste the local produce along the way. Meet the food producers and restaurateurs that have made Kilkenny one of Ireland's top food destinations. It is a short walk from place to place at a comfortable pace.
Starting at 10:30 at the Kilkenny Design Centre across from Kilkenny Castle, this tour takes approximately three hours and is suitable for all ages. Each tour can cater for a minimum of four and a maximum of twelve people.
