No licence is required to hire a Riversdale barge. A full demonstration is given to passengers on arrival. Their widebeam hire barges, which sleep between two and eight people, are a variation of the traditional narrowboat holiday, and each barge is fitted with central heating, log burning stove, and a fully equipped galley, and are ideal for year-round holidays and fishing in Ireland. Riversdale also provides complimentary bed linen, cooking utensils, and crockery.

Once aboard the barge, explore the waterways at your own pace and stop when and where you like. Throughout the cruise, you'll come across natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and villages full of history and culture. There are also many activities available, including golf, equestrian adventures, fishing, and walking and cycling trails.
