A family run business, The Paddle Shack is based in Carrick-on-Shannon in County Leitrim. All of the tours are led by Rory and assisted by his wife Aoife, who between them have over 20 years of paddling experience. Safety is a key priority and both Rory and Aoife are experienced and qualified level 2 Irish Canoe Union instructors.
As you gently paddle your way through the twists and turns of the River Shannon, you will uncover the sights and sounds of the breath taking County Leitrim landscape, weaving with confidence along the River Shannon, instructed by one of the skilled tutors.
No experience is necessary, however a basic level of fitness is
required. A wetsuit is not necessary but can be provided at no extra cost. All equipment is provided for each tour and double kayaks are available upon request. Hot showers are available on site for a marginal cost.
As well as individuals, couples and families, The Paddle Shack also caters for hens and stags, corporate outings, secondary schools and youth groups.
