Kilmallock Farmers Market takes place outdoors every Monday from 9am-1pm and indoors every Friday from 9.30am-12 midday throughout the year. Traders can be seen setting up their stands from early morning. The market is organised by Golden Vale Co-op Mart (GVM), founded in 1958, with the purpose of operating livestock marts for the benefit of farmers. On Fridays stalls sell fruit, vegetables and organic foods and on Mondays cattle, food, crafts, tools and clothes.
Visitors to the market will experience a true bustling rural country market atmosphere where they can watch the trading of cattle and selling of all kinds of farm produce including fruit and vegetables. The market is located near the old railway station, on the Cork side of Kilmallock, County Limerick, just outside the town.
