Experience the adventure of fishing underneath the majestic rising cliffs of slievemore on the north side of Achill Island for pollack, coalfish, ling, hake, common skate, turbot and megrim, or push out into the open blue Atlantic waters towards Blackrock. This lighthouse found pinnacle rises 82 metres sheer from the sea and is home to to multi coloured cod, plooack, coalfish and ling, all to specimen size. Sharks, blues and porbeagles, hunt the reefs and banks between Black Rock , Achill Head and the little island of Duvillaun Mor. Both the Irish Blue and porbeagle records were taken off Achill and its said the mighty mako roams these waters come autumn.
