Keem Beach is a rural and sheltered beach surrounded by cliffs. It can be found at the head of a valley between the cliffs of Benmore to the west and Croaghaun Mountain on the east on Achill Island.
The beach is very popular for water sports and there are surfing schools in the local area.
The beach is lifeguarded during the bathing season and more information can be found on the notice boards located at the beach.
There is a good chance of spotting dolphins and basking sharks from the beach.
