At the passage tomb at Newgrange a ray of sunlight shines through the roof box over the entrance and penetrates the passage to light up the central chamber, this dramatic event lasts for 17 minutes at dawn from the 19th to the 23rd of December.
Kells - An offically designated Irish Hertitage town with one of the finest examples of a monastic settlement to be found.
Bective Abbey - Boasting views overlooking the Boyne is the second Cistercian Abbey to be established in Ireland.
The River Boyne - Which flows along side of the Bounty Bar, take a walk along the Boyne which takes you downstream through some fields and here you find all the medieval sites of Trim.
