Guided Walking Tour of the Heritage Town of Carrickmacross

Free guided tour of the Heritage Town of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. A walking tour of the town approx. 90 minutes long, Saturday morning, 11am from Easter to September.

New Carrickmacross Walking Tour in conjunction of The Carrickmacross Chamber of Commerce. This tour highlights the rich heritage that Carrickmacross has to offer, including the workhouse, the fever hospital, Carrickmacross Lace, St. Joseph’s Church and the Harry Clarke stained glass windows, St. Finbarr's Church, Essex Castle and much more.

The tour takes a little over 90 minutes to complete and is free of charge. The tours will take place every Saturday from Easter to September, departing from the courthouse at 11am, free of charge. If the weather is too bad for walking, the tour will be given indoors as much as possible. Everyone is welcome and wear walking shoes and bring an umbrella!
