The theme for 2021 is #ItsAboutTime and several concerts will focus on the notion of “time” in all its different iterations. A centrepiece of the programme will be Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel’s epic piano piece Das Jahr [The Year], a musical diary of her travels in Italy from 1839 to 1840, which will be performed by rising star Ellen Janssen, in what is believed to be the first Irish performance of the work in its entirety.

As the only concert series of its kind in Ireland and the British Isles Finding a Voice offers a unique opportunity to hear music-making of the highest quality by unjustly neglected women composers through the years.
