Step back in time as you walk around a Viking camp featuring re-enactment of crafts, battles and the daily life of our ancestors. Attractions include crafts, cooking, health, weapons and demonstrations.

A two day festival of Viking re-enactment that takes place alongside the Woodstown Longphort site at Carriganore on the Waterford Greenway. When the festival last ran in 2019 there were over 70 re-enactors from Ireland, the UK and Europe, making this currently the biggest Viking gathering in Ireland.

Aimed at families, this event has a very hands on approach to the study of our local history. Children and adults can take part in workshops, talks, games, mini battles and can literally touch the past with hands on events like The Big Dig and Kiddie Vike. This festival aims to both educate and inspire visitors and hopefully possibly inspire archaeologists of the future.
