Freedom Surf School and Adventure in Tramore, County Waterford, offers a range of water and land based activities suitable for all abilities. Freedom offers all activities, courses and lessons in English, Irish and French.

Freedom Surf School and Adventure, an official Billabong Surf School, is tucked away in an authentic Irish setting surrounded by small cottages just a stone's throw from the beach in Tramore, County Waterford. Surfing lessons are offered to children, adults and school groups, in English, Irish or French. Daily and residential camps are also on offer.

Former Irish team rider and founder of Freedom Billy Butler, has been surfing for over 30 years. Billy and his wife Pam, a youth counsellor, work side by side to bring their passion for the outdoors to all.

Freedom Adventure is also about experiencing the local environment through a number of organised outdoor activities such as land yachting/blokarting, team challenges/team building, ecology hikes, Nordic walking, stand-up paddle boarding and body boarding. Small and medium size groups are catered for and activities are suitable for children of seven years and upwards.

Freedom has incorporated its love for the Irish language with its outdoor activities and has developed Freedom Scoil Surfála 'is Ionad Gníomhaíochta Teanga. By using sport and outdoor activities to promote and teach Irish, people are finding that the Irish language can be fun and easy to learn within this environment.
