McAlpin's Suir Inn Cheekpoint has been in the ownership of the McAlpin family since 1971. The Inn itself goes back a lot further than that as it was built in the 17th Century and has been an Inn for almost 300 years.
Seasonal menus offer a choice of about six starters (mostly seafood) and ten main courses, including several cold dishes and two vegetarian ones, again all moderately priced - specialities include a generous and reasonably priced seafood platter and home-made seafood pie.
All meals come with brown soda bread and butter, and a side salad - and a nice little wine list includes a choice of eight moderately priced wines.
