Time Outside Nature Walks
Waterford City, Co. Waterford
Time Outside Nature Walks is based in Waterford offering a chance to spend some time outdoors to learn to appreciate and understand the flora and fauna which surround us with a little bit of archaeology and social history thrown in.

With Time Outside Nature Walks you can explore and learn as you experience your choice of coastal, woodland, seashore, clifftop, river or Waterford Greenway walk.

Further activities are catered for so if you are interested in bird watching or taking part in otter or badger workshops this can be facilitated for. The walks will be educational not too strenuous and most of all healthy and fun.

Do you want to know more about the wonderful wildlife to be found on the Waterford Greenway? If so, a Time Outside Nature Walk will provide the perfect solution.

Learn more about:

• Wild animals – you can tell so much about their presence by the tracks and scents they leave.

• Wild birds - how to tell them apart by appearance, behaviour and song.

• Insects – you will be amazed how many can be seen when a bush is ‘swept’.

• Wildflowers and shrubs - their appearance and the many ways in which they’ve been used in the past.

Led by an experienced and expert guide, the walks will proceed at a gentle pace, with an emphasis on close observation.

They can be tailored to meet every taste, young, old and special needs.

Walks will start from the spacious car-park at Carriganore adjacent to the Greenway and proceed along the safe pathway through woodland to the Mount Congreve Estate.

Along the way you will pass and be fascinated by the history of old lime kilns and the Viking settlement site at Woodstown.
