Now in it's 12th year Tri the Hook is a fantastic event for anyone who wants to try their hand at a triathlon. It consists of a 750m sea swim in the beautiful Baginbun Beach followed by a 20km cycle towards the famous Hook Lighthouse and back, finishing with a 5km run ending at the local GAA ground.

Being a sprint triathlon it is the shortest official distance event and competitors regularly comment on the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the event. Tri the Hook is a Triathlon Ireland sanctioned event.
