Kilkenny County Library Service aims to provide a quality, accessible service which enhances the lives of the communities of Kilkenny, through the provision of a knowledge resource, promoting imagination, lifelong learning and culture.
Kilkenny’s City Library is situated on John’s Quay. Services offered by the library include PCs with internet access, photocopying and printing facilities. There are adult and children’s lending sections, a Reference Reading Room, study areas, and local and national daily newspapers.
