Blackwater Valley Opera Festival are delighted to welcome 2024 BVOF Bursary winners, mezzo-soprano Anna-Helena Maclachlan and pianist Frasier Hickland to perform at Tourin House, as part of this year’s Festival.
The Blackwater Valley Festival Opera Bursary was established in 2020 and this annual €10,000 award was founded with the support of a private donor. Bursary winners are selected by BVOF Artistic Director, Dieter Kaegi and encouraged to use the funding to further their musical education and performing ability.
The recital will be held in the delightful surrounds of Tourin House and gardens, Cappoquin, with its main house built in 1840 by renowned Dublin architect Abraham Denny.
