Kite Design Studios is a group of self-employed designers and producers based in Waterford City. The designers work from their own workshops and/or the Kite Design Studios. The emphasis is on high quality craftsmanship with a strong design element.
Kite Design Studios houses a Crafts and Design collection featuring five Waterford based artists and brands. The design studio is open six day a week and visitors have the unique opportunity to experience craft makers developing their design live in their own workshops.
The front of the studio has a beautiful open and airy retail space where you can buy gifts and handmade mementoes from the variety of collections on display by any of the five artists in residence. Artists are also on hand daily to discuss custom designed works. Artists include master glass blowers and cutters, a master engraver, a fine art printer, two silversmiths and a ceramics designer.
