Waterford City Walking Tours is delivered by the award winning master storyteller Jack Burtchaell, in Ireland's oldest city. A mile of walking through 1000 years of history that is fun and suitable for all ages. The daily tours depart from the Granville Hotel on The Quay.

Jack Burtchaell’s Waterford City Walking Tours are a one hour journey through the regional capital and Ireland’s oldest city, Waterford. Enjoy two cathedrals, four national monuments, and eleven centuries of rogues and rascals along the way, delivered in a witty, entertaining style, by a master storyteller. Walk through Waterford City, exploring the medieval core of the city and uncovering the Vikings story. See the sculpture of Strongbow and Aoife, whose marriage here on August 25th 1170 started Anglo-Irish history.

Jack wears his scholarship lightly and yet in retrospect, many visitors appreciate that they have just spent an hour with someone very special in a city which has a history to match his telling of it.

Daily tours operate from mid March until mid October at 12noon and 2pm. Join Jack outside the Granville Hotel on The Quay in Waterford City.

There is no need to book or reserve places, just turn up. Guided tours for groups of 10 or more by prior arrangements all year around. Refer to the website for additional information.
