Tropical World, Letterkenny, County Donegal, first opened in 2011 featuring magical tropical butterflies free flying in a tropical jungle with exotic birds and reptiles. It has since become County Donegal’s first licenced zoo and has grown into a spectacular small species zoo with added attractions which are 80% under cover.

At Tropical World, Letterkenny, County Donegal, you can see hundreds of butterflies in free flight and be greeted by the sound of lorikeets and birds from around the globe serenading you through exotic aviaries. You will find lemurs and marmosets that call Tropical World home along with owls, meerkats, sloths and favourites Guinness and Bailey, the toco toucans.

Additional features include an indoor play park, Jurassic Land with moving dinosaurs, a bug and reptile room, a souvenir shop, a café, picnic facilities, and disabled access throughout.

Tropical World is only five minutes from Letterkenny and is a great day out for all ages.
