Situated in Youghal, County Cork, the Millennium Garden of Time is a spectacular place that was developed by the local Tidy Towns Committee. The garden is based on the Chi-Rho page from the Book of Kells and features a number of ponds.

The Millennium Garden of Time is located in Youghal, County Cork. Developed on about half a hectare of land at a cost of about €317,500, the project was initiated by the local Tidy Town Committee and took nine months to construct.

The garden, which is based on the Chi-Rho page from the Book of Kells - an abbreviated monogram in Greek for the name of Christ - features a number of ponds. Each one contains a fountain clock and tells a different aspect of time. One of the ponds contains two entwined serpents, which are much in evidence in the Book of Kells; as they rotate, they spout water to the numerals on the circumference, thereby telling the time in minutes and hours. Another pond contains a large circular ceramic tablet with four illuminated evangelists.
