Russborough House is an wonderful example of Palladian architecture. This stunning and beautiful country mansion is located just 2km from Blessington in County Wicklow, overlooking spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.

Russborough House was designed by Richard Cassels for Joseph Leeson, the First Earl of Milltown and built between 1741 and 1755. The interior of the house contains some ornate plasterwork on the ceilings by the Lafranchini brothers.

Russborough is home to one of the most impressive private art collections in Ireland including Gainsborough, Singer Sargent and van Ostade. All may be viewed by taking a guided tour of the house.

The Interactive exhibition downstairs tells the story of the 3 Families who have inhabited Russborough since 1751.

The 18th century walled garden has been under restoration since 2011 and is now available for pre booked groups. For 2018 we have introduced a 2 km Audio walking trail, available in English, French, German, Italian & Spanish.

For family fun, Russborough offers a Maze, Fairy trail, playground and tree trail. Restaurant and giftshop merchandised, with giftware for all occasions. There is something for everyone to explore at Russborough.
