Watch the match or a movie on the large flat-screen TV, or take to the kitchen, which has all the modern equipment necessary for cooking up a warming meal.

If the weather is nice, you can relax on the outdoor patio with a table, chairs, and barbecue, as well as a ping-pong table under cover for the rainy days. The well-kept green lawn is surrounded by mature trees to make you feel well secluded.

Back indoors, you can soak tired muscles in the large bath and forget your cares.

Alder Cottage is the ideal base to make day trips to Donegal, Achill Island, and Connemara, as well as nearby Yeats Country. Visit Queen Medb's tomb on Knocknarea, gaze at Benbulben, explore O`Rourke`s Table, or check out Glencar Lake with its waterfall, the megalithic tombs of Carrowmore, or the recently restored Parke’s Castle on the shore of Lough Gill and its famous Lake Isle of Innisfree.
