Avalon B&B is an excellent base for touring County Donegal. It is less than a kilometre from the town of Glenties. It is a modern bungalow where the Boyle family welcome their guests and will assist them with any information possible to make their holiday as enjoyable as possible.

While staying at Avalon there is an abundance of amenities for both the active and passive pursuits, with the Bluestack Way, a walking guide through the Bluestack Mountains of South Donegal, plus other local marked walks in and around Glenties. Sliabh League, Errigal Mountain, Aranmore Island, Glenveagh National Park, Carrigfinn and Derry Airports all approximately 1 hr from Avalon. Drying facilities available for the walkers, golfers, cyclists and fishing visitors. Just about 8 miles from here you can go golfing, horse-riding and can have canoe and windsurfing lessons. Narin beach (1½ miles long) is a 10 minute drive from here. With the weather being so variable, fishing can be another activity for a day. Very informative Museum in town.
