Built in 1752 on the site of a Franciscan abbey, today Avonmore House is a nine bedroom Georgian guest house over three storeys. It is located with off street parking in South Abbey, Youghal and only a short walk from the beach. The house boasts rooms of all types, a guest lounge with a small library and comfortable armchairs.
Avonmore House use a reverse osmosis water system where all teas and coffees served are made with purified filtered water free from chlorine, fluoride and other chemicals. Guests also receive a large bottle on arrival and are free to refill at any time during their stay nullifying the need to purchase bottled water.
The breakfast menu has much choice with freshly homemade breads and fresh fruit salad.
There are automatic sensor hand sanitising stations situated at the front door and the dining room. The dining room tables have been rearranged to keep a safe social distance from one another. Each guest party will be asked for their favoured breakfast time enabling the numbers to be kept to the minimum at any one time.
