Clongibbon House is located in historic Mitchelstown just off M8 motorway at exit 13 and 40 minutes from Cork International Airport.
Clongibbon House has spacious ensuite accommodation with double and single beds in all rooms with bath or power shower. Food is served all day with breakfast served from 8 to 11am, lunch from 12 to 3pm and a full Á la carte menu until 9pm. The food is sourced locally and the succulent steaks from the local butchers have to be experienced. The homemade desserts are not to be missed.
Clongibbon House is named after the ancient barony of Condons and Clongibbon. It is owned by the Tangney family since 1988 and has been lovingly developed over the years to include a traditional style lounge bar, balcony restaurant, spacious ensuite accommodation and the Website night club at The Clon.
Bus tours are welcome for morning coffee, Irish coffee, lunches and evening meals. A bus parking bay and car parking is directly outside Clongibbon House on New Square. Clongibbon House has disabled accessible toilets.
The Late Night Bar at The Clon is a popular venue for all those over 25’s and is a hive of activity on Saturday and Bank Holiday Sunday nights. The Website Nightclub at The Clon is the entertainment Hub for Mitchelstown and its environs featuring three bars, the latest in sound and lighting with themed Party Nights, Live Bands and the best of DJs to create that party atmosphere.
Clongibbon House accommodation is not accessible for disabled persons. Clongibbon House is open all year round except Christmas Day.
Clongibbon House is an ideal touring base for the Rock of Cashel, Kilkenny, Waterford City, Lismore, Cork City, and Killarney. Ballyhoura Mountain Biking Trails and the Galtee and Knockmealdown Mountains are on the doorstep, as well as the River Blackwater, famous for its salmon fishing.
Mitchelstown is a market town steeped in history with hidden gems to be discovered like Kingston College, Doneraile Park and Mitchelstown Caves.
