Cloughaboola Cottage is self-catering cottage in Millstreet, County Cork. The cottage is restored and nestled in the heart of the Cork countryside which is equipped with all modern conveniences and offers its guests a peaceful rural retreat.

This self-catering cottage is situated in the outskirts of Millstreet, County Cork. The cottage is ideal for a couple, family or group, and provides a base for all to enjoy the area.

Millstreet (Irish: Sráid an Mhuilinn) is a town in North Cork, with a population of 1,500. Despite its small population, Millstreet has hosted many major events; the town is most famous for hosting Eurovision Song Contest 1993. It also boasts one of the largest equestrian centres in Ireland, the Green Glens Arena. Part of the centre is a facility for shows and exhibitions which have hosted numerous international events, for example, the European cross country.

An area of scenic hills and valleys serves a rural hinterland consisting of dairy farms, pastureland and bog land. Cloghboola Cottage is ideally suited to those looking to get away from hectic lifestyles. Take a stroll in quiet country roads in the fresh air with views of the Clara Mountain. A 30 minute drive to Killarney will allow guests access to a myriad of dining choices, from simple fare to fine dining. However, should guests wish to self-cater, then Millstreet is just 1 mile away and offers a choice of supermarkets, butchers and a local farmers market on a Saturday morning. Similarly, the cottage is within easy reach of Macroom, Mallow and Cork City. Millstreet has easy access to transport links, railway station in Millstreet – Kerry Airport and Cork Airport only 45 mins away, it is an ideal location for an Irish holiday rental.

The cottage has an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining and sitting area, so after enjoying a meal after a busy day you can relax on the sofa whilst reminiscing about the time so far on the Emerald Isle. There are two bedrooms, one with king size bed and the other fitted with two number single beds. Boasting multi-channel television and complimentary WiFi, Cloghboola Cottage is ideally suited to those looking for a local base from which to explore, to couples looking for a relaxing weekend to laze around, stroll through quiet country roads or families who don’t want the bustle of a large town. This self-catering accommodation provides everything guests need for vacation or short break.
