Our peninsula has a large amount of heritage sites including Skelligh Michael off our coast and Church Island on Lough Currane, Ring forts and Celtic Crosses.
It is an angler's paradise with salmon and seatrout fishing on the lake, bass fishing and deep sea angling. Walking and cycling are pursuits to be enjoyed here also as well as spectacular scenery, restaurants, pubs, shops, craft shops, post office, hairdresser, beautician, cafes, pharmacy etc. all available locally. Beaches and Watersports are a popular activity as well as golfing on the 2 golf courses in Waterville. For the bird watcher there are many species including the large and beautiful white tailed eagle, which has been known to swoop past our dining room window
