Desmond House is a luxury 250 year old house set in the heart of Kinsale, County Cork. Desmond House is within walking distance to the Irish craft family run shops, excellent gourmet restaurants, traditional pubs and the famous Charles Fort Castle.

Desmond House is located opposite Desmond Castle in the heart of Kinsale. Desmond House offers four large suites and are located on two floors all of which are ensuite. Three of the suites are triple rooms and one Deluxe double. Each of the suites are named after historic places in Kinsale such as James Fort, Desmond Castle, Old Head and Charles Fort. All suites offer WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer, soaps, shampoo and body wash.

Desmond House offers a fridge on the first floor with fresh milk and freshly baked homemade cake to enjoy with tea or coffee. Guests will get excellent full Irish Breakfast and homemade scones, brown bread and granola serviced with local honey and yoghurts.

Kinsale is a destination not to be missed. Being near so many interesting places it is used by many of their guests as a natural base. Cork Airport is only a 20 minute drive and towns such as Waterford, Killarney, Dingle, and Kilkenny are also within easy reach. A short trip will also take you to the historic Port of Cobh where Queen Victoria visited in 1849 and was the last port of call for RMS Titanic in 1912 where she sailed west towards her tragic fate in the icy water of the North Atlantic. If you enjoy golf there is a famous Old Head Golf Links and many other golf courses close by Desmond House.
