Dunowen House is a luxurious and historic large country house near Clonakilty on the Wild Atlantic Way. Built in 1771, it was home for 30 years to Noel Redding, bass guitarist with The Jimi Hendrix Experience and West Cork music legend.

Dunowen House is set within four acres of gardens and offers space, privacy and tranquillity while providing guests with the perfect base to explore the stunning beauty of West Cork. With over 5000 sq. ft. of living space the property offers three furnished reception rooms, one of which has an open fire and another a wood burning stove. Logs are provided to guests for both.

The house has a fully fitted kitchen, utility room and formal dining room as well as games/playroom. It provides guests with full use of the library, DVD and music collection as well as a range of musical instruments. Satellite Television and DVD player is also provided. Upstairs there are six large bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms which will sleep 18 people, but will also suit smaller groups.

West Cork is renowned for the quality of its artisan food and at Dunowen House guests are offered tours of local farmers markets, opportunities to meet producers and cookery lessons to make the most of these superb ingredients. Guests are offered additional catering services, should they require dinner parties, lunches or just some really tasty home baking.

Dunowen House is in the village of Ardfield, with secluded Sands Cove private beach five minutes walk from the door and close to Galley Head lighthouse. The market town of Clonakilty is only 8km away, with Kinsale a 45 minutes drive to the east and Bantry the same distance to the west.
