Designed by John Roberts, Gaultier Lodge provides a place in which to relax and unwind. The three ensuite bedrooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and enjoy views overlooking the beach and bay. Guests may start the day with a wholesome Irish breakfast and finish it relaxing in their comfortable drawing room.
The area around Gaultier Lodge is reputed to have the highest number of hours of sunshine in Ireland making it an ideal venue for touring the Waterford area, or relaxing on the beach at the bottom of the garden.
Gaultier Lodge is an ideal location for country walks with excellent views over the Suir Estuary to Dunmore East. Enjoy a leisurely lunch over a glass of wine, or drive to Kilkenny through the Barrow Valley, passing the charming towns of Innistoige (Where Circle of Friends was filmed) and Thomastown on the way. Visit Waterford Crystal, Reginald's Tower, Mt. Congreve Gardens, and the Shell House at Curraghmore. Guests can also easily tour Wexford via the Passage East car ferry to Ballyhack, and visit the picturesque town of New Ross, or the spectacular landscape of the Hook Head, all while based from Gaultier Lodge.
There are also many equestrian facilities in the area, where horses can be hired for hunting and for lessons. Local hunting is available during the season.
