The family run Grand Hotel in Moate, County Westmeath is situated in the centre of Ireland and is the ideal base for exploring Ireland's Hidden Heartlands.

The Grand Hotel, in Moate, County Westmeath, is owned and managed by John Joe Claffey and his family. As John Joe Claffey explains "The Claffey family has owned and operated The Grand Hotel for over 25 years now and in that time have provided the midlands with the very best range of quality services."

All the guest rooms at the Grand Hotel are ensuite and equipped with every modern convenience including satellite television. Breakfast is included for all rates.

An excellent range of bar food is served nightly in the hotel bar and the restaurant at the Grand Hotel is a great venue for an evening out or to celebrate that special occasion.

The function room, the Chieftain Suite, can comfortably cater for up to 260 people and is a perfect location for weddings, special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, conferences or meetings.

Moate is home to the Tuar Árd Centre, which incorporates a 200 seat Theatre, Art Gallery, Conference and Information Centre, as well as the Dun na Sí Cultural and Heritage Centre, which is County Westmeath's designated genealogical research centre.
