The Grand Hotel, in Moate, County Westmeath, is owned and managed by John Joe Claffey and his family. The function room, the Chieftain Suite, can comfortably cater for up to 260 people and is a perfect location for weddings, special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries, conferences or meetings.

Moate is home to the Tuar Árd Centre, which incorporates a 200 seat Theatre, Art Gallery, Conference and Information Centre, as well as the Dun na Sí Cultural and Heritage Centre, which is County Westmeath's designated genealogical research centre.
