Many visitors use Ballinamore as a base from which to explore North to the Giants Causeway, Glenveigh National Park, Slieve League, South as far as Galway, Connemara, Westport, West to Sligo and Lissadell on the Wild Atlantic Way, taking in sights such as Newgrange on their way eastwards.
