Island Winds is a spacious, five bedroom house located near Killala, County Mayo. The house is furnished to a luxurious, four star rating and is perfect for family breaks and reunions, as there is plenty of outdoor play space for children.

Set in a very scenic, tranquil area near Killala, County Mayo, Island Winds is a spacious, two-storey detached house that boasts breath-taking views of Killala Bay and Bartra Island.

Island Winds is well equipped and tastefully decorated. It is perfect for family get-togethers, as it includes child-friendly enclosed gardens and plenty of outdoor space for children to play. There is also an on-site playroom with table tennis, sandbox and toys. There is private car parking and free WiFi.

The home can sleep 10 people in five bedrooms, three of which have ensuite facilities. There are bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, and one of the bedrooms is on the ground floor. The property also includes a spacious living room and dining room that can seat 10. The property has English and German Sky TV channels, video, DVD, hairdryer, iron, dishwasher, washer, dryer, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, freezer and more. There is a tackle shed with freezer on site.

Guests at Island Winds can discover the visitor centre of the Ceide Fields, said to be one of the most extensive Stone Age sites in the world. There are other fascinating sites to visit, including the ruined Rosserk Abbey, and Moyne and Rathfran Abbey, a 13th century Dominican priory that is within walking distance.

Visitors interested in fishing will find many locations to enjoy river, shore and off-shore experiences. Killala Bay offers excellent fishing for more than 30 different species. The shoreline is also dotted with safe beaches, notably the Blue Flag awarded beach at Ross, which is perfect for swimming and water sports.

The owner of Island Winds lives nearby and is available to assist with any queries to ensure guests have a pleasant stay.
