A sensitively restored 13th-century castle, Killaghy Castle provides a unique accommodation for self-catering holidays, parties and activity weekends in Mullinahone, County Tipperary. The main residence can sleep 16 people.

Set in a very serene location less than 500m from Mullinahone Village, Killaghy Castle is a historic Norman castle that dates back to 1206. Today, the castle serves as a four-star self-catering accommodation available for holiday home hire, group bookings, parties, activity weekends and more.

The main residence of the Killaghy Castle can sleep up to 16 people, with a total of five bedrooms. Three of the rooms include ensuite bathrooms while two have private bathrooms. There are three cots available for babies.

For enjoying meals in a group setting, the castle has a separate dining room with a large table that can seat up to 16 people. The kitchen, meanwhile, is well equipped with dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, hob/over, microwave and washing machine/dryer. There is also a spacious lounge that is furnished in a traditional manner and includes a large fireplace, which provides warm and cosy ambiance. Additionally, the castle includes a three-bedroom unit in a separate annex. Standard facilities include central heating, bed linen, towels, hairdryers, satellite TV, DVD player and car parking. The estate includes a walled garden and tennis courts.

Beyond the castle estate, guests can find good angling, equestrian and walking facilities nearby. Mullinahone Village is just a five-minute walk and has pubs, shops, fishing and more.
