Centrally located for touring Connemara, Aran Islands, Galway, Cliffs of Moher, Westport, Mayo and Joyce Country with lots of maps for walking, hiking and touring and plenty of advice given to help plan ones day. Scenic walks from house to Benlevy/Mount Gable and Clonbur, which lead to Ashford Castle and Cong, famous for The Quiet Man movie. Why not cruise on The Corrib Queen to where guests can enjoy a lovely walk on Inchagoill Island, steeped with history, or enjoy watching the Sheep Dog Demonstration on Lough Na Fooey. Lots of activities locally. Bernadette and David would love to welcome guests to their home, Lakeshore House, where visitors will be greeted with Tea/Coffee and fresh home baking in the sitting room. Guests can enjoy a Real Open Fire while admiring the wonderful views of Lough Corrib. Almost all our bedrooms have unique lake views, with ensuite facilities, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, towels, adapters and complementary WiFi. This is a no smoking house. Knock Airport is approximately one hour away; Shannon Airport is two hours and Dublin Airport just over three hours away.
