Léim Siar is a modern family run, eco friendly B&B, situated in the beautiful fishing village of An Fód Dubh (Blacksod), County Mayo. A haven in the Gaeltacht, this magnificent, purpose built home boasts ensuite bedrooms that feature a TV, walk in wardrobe, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and wonderful views of the local Blacksod Bay landscape. Parking is provided and a telephone is available for you to use. The house also provides bicycles for hire so that you can go and explore the picturesque local area. Leim siar is one of the most eco friendly B&Bs in Ireland with its high standard of insulation. Evening meals and early breakfasts are an option also, while the property also features a self catering option. Bikes can be hired at the property, too, including a tendem and children's bikes.

In addition to lying within walking distance to the pier, pub, lighthouse and beaches, Leim Siar B&B is close to some great activities and attractions. Blacksod Bay is a great location for a spot of sea angling with its supply of trout and wild salmon and surfing and windsurfing can also be experienced in the vast peninsula. Birdwatching is popular with the local community while Carne Golf Links is just 24 minutes away by car. A series of 24 mapped walks are within the vicinity that guests can choose from depending on ability. Ballina also hosts a large number of bars, shops and restaurants where long, happy evenings can be spent enjoying excellent food and lively chat. The home here is also an excellent base for anyone wishing to learn or use a cupla focal as it is located in the heart of the Mayo Gaeltacht. Céad Míle Fáilte!
