Lisdonag House is located 15 minutes from Galway City and offers guests a timeless escape on the Wild Atlantic Way. The house is ideal for extended families, groups of friends, special occasions, special interest groups, retreats or indeed any circumstances to bring people together

Lisdonagh House is a early Georgian heritage home on an elevated site with commanding views over Lough Cime. Sheltered by native woodland, this stately home offers guests a unique experience of Irish country estate living.

Lovingly restored by the Cooke family, Lisdonagh House is classical in layout with an impressive drawing room, elegant dining room and a traditional country house kitchen. There are nine bedrooms, each named after prominent Irish artists, all with private bathroom and furnished in period style. The entrance hall is stunning with late eighteenth century murals, which are the last remaining example of the artist James Ryan’s work and his classical depiction of the Four Virtues.

Lisdonagh House is ideally situated on 200 acres of private woodland estate ideal for relaxing walks and other country pursuits. Boating, fishing, kayaks and horse riding all available on the estate by prior arrangement.

The region is rich in heritage and folklore with the beautifully maintained Knockma Hill trail walk within close proximity. Conveniently located for easy day trips to Ashford Castle in nearby Cong, the Cliffs of Moher, Kinvara, Achill Island, Enniscrone or Lough na Fouey.

Nearby Galway City hosts theatre groups and has an array of music venues and history tails to participate in. If your interest is music, theatre, history or shopping Galway you will not disappoint.
