Located in the courtyard of a 19th century watermill and on the outskirts of the rural village of Foulkesmill in South County Wexford, the cottages are an ideal base for touring the region’s many treasures and for couples or groups attending weddings in the nearby Horetown House Hotel. It is also perfect for families with young children, an enclosed garden and play area with lots of outdoor toys are on site. Beaches and major touring sites are all within a 20 minute drive.
The cottages at Mill Farm retain an atmosphere of times past. Beautiful old oak and ash trees in the adjoining lawns lend themselves to the atmosphere. There is a single ensuite bedroom downstairs, which is ideal for an elderly guest. The downstairs also includes an open-plan kitchen and living room, which is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, electric cooker television and DVD player. Towels, bed linen, cots and high chairs are included in rental costs. A welcome pack - cleaning materials - washing up liquid, cloths, dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, biscuits and milk are part of each guests welcome pack.
The watermill, built in the 1800's stands tall on the riverbank and guests can take a tour on request. Nearby there are many lovely sandy beaches - Curracloe, Duncannon, Rosslare Strand, Blackhall and Bannow Strand to name a few. Horse riding, golf, shore angling and river fishing are available locally, while bicycles can be hired in Wexford Town. Tours of the Hook Lighthouse, John F Kennedy Arboretum, Duncannon Fort and the Dunbrody ship are just some of the highlights of the area. The Dunbrody in New Ross depicts the famine times in Ireland, with a film show and re-enactments taking place daily during the summer months.
