Murphys Farmhouse is a sixth-generation family run "dry stock" farm set at the foot of the Slieve Mish mountains in County Kerry. It is ideally located for touring the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula as the town of Castlemaine is the gateway to both areas.

There are a number of outdoor pursuits nearby, including the world-renowned golf courses of Killarney, Ballybunion, Barrow and Dooks. Murphys Farmhouse is ideally located for walking groups, and walking guides, transport, and packed lunches can also be arranged.

Inch Beach provides 3 miles of safe, sandy beach where one can enjoy a leisurely walk or, for the more active, surfing is very popular. Surfing equipment can be hired at the beach.

Kerry airport is seven miles away, with Shannon and Cork airports both approximately two hours drive. There is a train service to Farranfore, Tralee and Killarney train stations about seven miles from Murphys Farmhouse.
