Athenry is a town known for its medieval heritage and the only restored Norman castle in Ireland. Visitors won’t want to miss the Church of St Mary’s and the well preserved Dominican Priory, which boasts an excellent collection of occupational gravestones. Meanwhile, all the activity and cultural offerings of Galway City are just a short trip away.

The Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher, Connemara, and The Burren are easily reached for a day trip to remember.
