Castlebar itself makes a fascinating visit and guest can avail of a self-guided tour that takes guests through town, stopping by the Victorian style Turlough Church, and the 70-ft. Turlough Round Tower, among other historical sites. Those travelling further afield can journey to the stunning coastal gem that is Achill Island and the sandy beauty of Keem Beach.
