Relax and unwind in one of four luxury self-catering cottages located in converted stone cut farm buildings in a picturesque courtyard in an extremely old country estate steeped in history which is located in South East Wexford. Modern day luxury has been combined with old world Victorian charm to offer the perfect country holiday. Close to beautiful beaches and centrally located for visiting the wide variety of local sight-seeing attractions.
Visitors will step back in time and enjoy the spectacular scenery as they walk along the estate's avenues and old bridle path which pass through the woods and alongside the River Corach. Young and old will enjoy the Fairy Village in the woods. The river also offers an opportunity to spend some enjoyable hours fishing for river trout from the river banks in the woods. Nature lovers are afforded a chance to spot a unique array of fauna and flora. The changing seasons can be enjoyed in Rosegarland from the sea of bluebells throughout the woodlands in late spring to the blackberries ripening in the late summer and the wonderful colour of the trees throughout the estate in the autumn. Rosegarland Estate is actively farmed with a large dairy herd.
The entrance to the court yard is through an old arch way onto the original flag stone track ways used by carts in years gone by. The buildings in the court yard once stabled 22 pairs of plough horses which left the yard early in the morning to plough and till the estate’s fields. The original bell which called the plough men and their horses in from the fields still hangs in the bell tower above the Coach House.
All the houses have a spacious open plan dining/living room area with a Waterford Stanley wood burning stove. The houses are furnished to an extremely high standard with the comfort of visitors of foremost importance. All beds have pocket sprung mattresses and luxury Egyptian cotton bed linen. Complementary WiFi, satellite TV stations and a selection of reading material is provided for guests. There is a self-contained children's play area and a games room for younger guests. Visitors can also enjoy barbeques in the main garden in the court yard. Visitors have the choice of cooking for themselves in the superbly equipped bespoke kitchen or ordering a cordon bleu meal.
